By plane
Bourgas airport (BOJ) www.bourgas-airport.com is located 10 km north of the city. There are numerous
flights from all over Europe flying to Bourgas, especially in summer.
• International flights:
o WizzAir offers flights to London Luton airport;
o S7 offers flights to Moscow.
• Seasonal flights: During the summer season, from May until September, charter companies offer
flights from UK, Ireland, Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Hungary,
etc. to Bourgas. Check the Bourgas airport website to receive actual information on
departing/arriving airlines operating this season.
• Internal flights: Bulgaria Air offers every day flights to/from Sofia.
Bus No. 15 connects the airport with the city. The ticket costs BGN 1,00 (circa € 0,50) and the trip lasts
about 20 - 30 minutes. This bus starts at the train station every 30 minutes from 06:00 to 23:00.
By bus
There are many buses from every city in the country to Bourgas. Most of the buses coming to the city arrive
at the bus station South. There are also many buses coming from Turkey (Istanbul) and Greece.
• Domestic bus lines: Every operating company has their own reservation system. Some of the
companies that run bus lines to the city are Enturtrans www.enturtrans.com, Union Ivkoni
www.union-ivkoni.bg and Biomet www.biomet.bg.
• International: Eurolines www.eurolines.bg runs regular international bus lines to/from Bourgas.
